Canal Headband PDF Knitting Pattern

The Canal Headband is one of the first things I ever made for customers in university. I name is after the Ottawa Canal that I skated on during some of the best years of my life.

It knits up quickly and uses up leftover yarn and scraps!

The Canal Headband is made for babies to adults, knit up in one-ply Super Bulky Weight yarn such as Malabrigo (Rasta), We Are Knitters (The Wool), Wool And The Gang (Crazy Sexy Wool), Cascade (Magnum or Spuntaneous).

I would not recommend using Lion Brand Wool Ease ThickNQuick for this pattern as it is not quite thick enough and you will lose stitch definition

SUPPLIES

• -  US 15 / 10.0mm knitting needles (can be circular, straight or whatever) or size to obtain gauge

• -  Bulky Weight yarn – Malabrigo Rasta or Cascade Magnum as examples o Yardage needed: 31-75 yrds, depending on size

• -  Tapestry needle

• -  Scissors

• -  Stitch marker

• -  A positive attitude
